The Telecommunication Research Lab at the FCS IBA presently has several PhD scholars conducting state of the art research focused in two primary areas:

• Research in conducting testbed simulations of Wireless Sensor Networks.
• Research in the application of Machine Learning algorithms in Wireless Networks.

Several hardware platforms are available to our researchers which comprise primarily of TinyOS based platforms. Our focus is on coming up with new protocols which are not only analyzed but also simulated at a hardware level and implemented in testbeds. This is achieved via different simulators including Avrora and NS2.

The research in machine learning algorithms also allows us to use concepts in neural networks and deep learning to create predictive algorithms that can be used in the future as we move towards a world with Intelligent Homes and cities assisted by the pervasive Internet of Things.

We welcome researchers from both within and outside the country to collaborate with us in exploring this rapidly evolving area of research.
